MoMath New York City Math Festival Seeks Jugglers
Posted June 1, 2018
The National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) is seeking volunteer jugglers to participate in the world’s largest-ever bagel juggling demonstration as part of the second annual New York City Math Festival.
New York is known for its quintessential breakfast food, the bagel (mathematically known as a torus), and this year we need jugglers to help MoMath highlight how math is the secret to a juggler’s ability to anticipate the path of a bagel in space and time.
Last year, the New York City Math Festival attracted thousands of New Yorkers and tourists of all ages who participated in and enjoyed dozens of hands-on, interactive exhibits.
We anticipate major media coverage of the Math Festival by TV, radio, print, and digital outlets. Participating jugglers will also receive recognition at the event by MoMath’s Executive Director and CEO, Cindy Lawrence.
This is going to be a really fun and great event!
