Hula Hoop Flow with Emily Gandalfo May 11-12
Posted May 6, 2019
Beginner Hula Hoop intensive for those interested in expanding their ground work and flow art knowledge!

In this mini workshop series, we will start with the basics of learning waist hooping, walking while hooping, and other essential movements and tricks for on-body hooping. We'll also learn off-body hooping and the different types of weaves, hooping on arms and elbows, along with a basic chest roll and back roll.

The last class will be combining what we learned in the first class and putting sequencing together to hoop dance. We will learn different transitions from on to off body such as, jump throughs, vortexes, and escalators.

Both classes will include time to work on previous skills learned and one on one time with each student to ensure success.

Hoops will be provided.

About the Instructor:
Emily Gandolfo, also known as Mystic Flow Fairy on Social Media, has been hula hooping for eight years! She started her journey to rehabilitate herself and strengthen her core. It was from there that her love to dance combined with the hoop fitness, and she began to grow. She learned to incorporate dance and tricks to her flow. She now performs throughout the east coast at clubs, venues, private events, and music festivals.

Emily has been teaching hoop fitness, and beginner hula hoop classes for five years. She has taught at flow art festivals such as the JAMboree and Disc Jam Festival, as well as in studios in New York. She has taught all ages from 9 years to 65!

Emily love teaching people to hoop because it can be so meditative. So whether you plan to perform or just want to find a new way to move hula hooping is a great new skill to learn.
