Hoop-dance is a growing movement practice merging play, dance, fitness, and creative expression. This unique form of movement meditation and dance develops balance, grace, strength, and flexibility. In this class you will learn various arm and body hoop-dance tricks and how to tie them together into creative routines, all the while strengthening and toning the entire body. All levels are welcome; variations of each move are given to accommodate varying degrees of skill.
Instructor Karlie Dean is a hula-hoop performance artist, fire dancer, and choreographer based in NYC. She has been teaching hoop-dance since 2011 and has classes based in performance art and fitness, for both adults and children. She has performed with Cirque du Soleil
