2013 NYC Unicycle Festival Aug 30-Sep 1

On Labor Day weekend, hundreds of one wheelers will be rolling across the Big Apple celebrating the unicycle.
Friday, August 30, 2013 is Brooklyn Unicycle Day. Festivities begin with a mass ride over the Brooklyn Bridge to Coney Island, total distance is 13 miles. The official schedule ends with a one-wheel display on the Boardwalk by Deno’s Wonder Wheel.
Festivities on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1 are on Governors Island starting at noon. Activities include races, competitions, exhibitions, and a variety of unicycle sports including unicycle basketball, hockey, and sumo. For fans of extreme riding, the Hell on Wheel trials course challenges riders of all levels. World-famous riders will display their skills, and members of the public have the opportunity to try one-wheel riding.
