Coney Island Seeks Variety Acts
Posted March 11, 2009
Note: This client is not Coney Island USA, producers of the Coney
Island Circus Sideshow. We're pretty sure, in fact, that it's Thor
Equities, who tore down Astroland Amusements two years ago. Rumor has
it they're opening a giant flea market in the empty lot on Stillwell
Avenue, between the Bowery and the boardwalk. Could be fun. Details
posted as received.
Attention NYC Variety Acts
Brooklyn is about to get a lot more exciting! This May 1st, a totally
new and exhilarating experience will be coming to Coney Island—a
magical and festive place to eat great food, hang out, see and be
seen, and of course, entertain thousands of beach visitors every day
with your specialty acts!
This opportunity proves to be the perfect exposure for your specialty
act with an unprecedented million-dollar advertising campaign letting
every New Yorker know Coney Island is going to be hotter than ever
this spring and summer! We need live entertainment every Saturday and
Sunday (and some Fridays) starting May 1st to perform as strolling
entertainers in the heart of the bustling Coney Island. This historic
location is always the talk of the City and now you can be a part of
that buzz!
We're looking for all sorts of spectacular specialty acts, including:
balloon artists, stilt walkers, fire swallowers, face painters,
jugglers, magicians, impersonators (that's right Liza, Prince, MJ, and
Tina Turner...we are looking for you), clowns, etc. Help us capture
that mystical atmosphere that is Coney Island!
So, if you're looking for a new way to have fun in the sun, and make
some money too, nothing will beat this opprotunity to perform and be a
part of such a celebrated place...or as we like to
say...fuggettaboutit!
For more information on how your talent can participate call
888.940.8881 or write fleabythesea@gmail.com.
Pay will be negotiable per act.
