VARIETY SHOWCASE SEEKS PERFORMERS
First Mondays Open Variety Night
Begins March 2, 8pm
Door $5

Galapagos Art Space In Partnership with Bindlestiff Family Variety Arts, Inc. presents:
First Mondays Open Variety Night

First Mondays of every month at Galapagos Art Space will be dedicated to New York City's variety, vaudeville, aerial, and circus artists. Celebrating works in progress, emerging artists, and professionals trying something new, this night promises many surprises.

Artists are invited to perform in New York City's first certified "green" cultural venue. The monthly showcase is open to all variety entertainers: jugglers, hoofers, magicians, aerialists, physical comedians, opera singers, violin playing pogo stickers, steppers, acrobats... The stage is here for artists to work out material in front of a live audience.

How to get on stage: email your name, bio, title, description of your act, and any relevant links to Variety@galapagosartspace.com. Write 'Open Variety' in the subject line! There will be one walk up slot open on the night of the show, offered on a first come-first served situation.

Details:
  • Performances are to be 3 to 7 minutes
  • Artists will receive an email confirming their participation
  • Artists check-in half an hour prior to the show (7:30pm)
  • This is not a paying show

Stage specifications: A 14' x 38' sprung stage with 15' high ceiling (from ceiling to stage)
