Boulder Juggling Fest June 13-15
Posted June 11, 2008
Note: Sure Boulder's a bit of a hike, but the Boulder Circus
Center was founded by Carminers Cindy Marvell and Carter Brown, and
the festival is a very good time. Highly recommended. Posted as
received.
The 4th annual Boulder Juggling Festival will be held June 13-15 at
the Boulder Circus Center, #4747 N. 26th St, and the Boulder High
School Auditorium on 15th & Arapahoe. The public is invited to attend
the competition and show at the high school auditorium on Saturday,
June 14, 7-9pm. Tickets are $10 with sliding scale. World class
jugglers will perform and the Boulder Circus Arts Award will be
presented for the best circus-style solo or team performance.
The Boulder Juggling Festival is also open to the public, started each
day with a Beginner's Workshop at 10am at the Boulder Circus Center in
north Boulder. Open juggling and workshops will continue throughout
the day, culminating in a historic film showing Sunday night. Jugglers
of all levels from around the world attend the festival to practice
and share their skills.
Admission to the festival is $5/day per person; Dads juggle free on
Father's Day (June 15). Children under 12 must have an adult with them
at all times. Some equipment will be provided for newbies.
